Culinary tourism is an opportunity to attract people to rural areas and also to achieve sustainable development objectives linked to the European Green Deal. Our project aims to promote culinary tourism by strengthening the skills of local and culinary tourism professionals in rural areas. It is based on an analysis of the needs of SMEs involved in promoting local areas through culinary and proximity tourism, online courses on the development of culinary and proximity tourism (https://www.gastronomytourism.eu/) and the creation of an international network for culinary and proximity tourism.
